Sioux Spiritual Center Wins $20K Matching Grant!

The Sioux Spiritual Center is set to receive a $20K Matching Grant from Catholic Extension Society to help us replace our aging windows ($36K) and living room carpet ($4K).  The gift is contingent upon our raising $20K.  Each dollar donated will be matched by Catholic Extension up to $20 K.  So far, we have raised $1400!

These windows were installed when the center was built , 40 years ago!  This is a picture of one of the windows we will be replacing.  You can see how condensation is collecting between the panes where it cannot be reached.

We have some windows that won't stay open, some that can't be shut, some that are cracked, some that have come close to breaking fingers, and some that are difficult for our staff to clean without hanging out the window frame to reach the outside.

We plan to purchase new double-hung windows that can be tipped inwards for safer cleaning.  But we need your help!  Please consider donating to the Window project.  All gifts are tax deductible.  Thanks in advance!
